Five Great Ways to Celebrate Easter 2021 in Denver

As a second Easter approaches in the shadow of COVID-19, we’ve begrudgingly resigned ourselves to another year of scaled-back family dinners, parties, and church services. But balmy spring temps – this Sunday is supposed to be 70 degrees in Denver! – and some great socially-distanced activities around town will help to make this an Easter to remember. Check out these five ways to stay safe while celebrating in Denver this Easter weekend.

1.) Order in for Easter Brunch

I don’t know about you, but my “I love cooking” stage of quarantine has long past. So, why not let somebody else do the work this year and pre-order brunch from The Pig & the Sprout? Our Easter Package includes meat or veggie quiche, fresh fruit, cinnamon rolls, and bottomless mimosas, and can be sized for two, four, or a crowd. You can even pass it off as your own – we won’t tell.

2.) Have Breakfast with the Easter Bunny

Kids and families can come to the Downtown Aquarium from 8:30-11am on April 3rd to enjoy a delicious breakfast and meet the Easter Bunny (socially-distanced, of course). Reserve tickets here.

3.) Pre-Easter Happy Hour: Decorate Cupcakes and Support a Great Local Business

Join instructor Chayla Turner at My Make Studio, located in the Edgewater Public Market, on Saturday, April 3 for an adorable Easter cupcake decorating class. Cupcakes are pre-baked, and Chayla will walk you through step-by-step instructions on how to decorate. Great for all ages and all skill levels. Make a reservation here.

4.) Try an Online Easter Egg Decorating Class

The Discovery Gateway Children’s Museum staff will teach you and your family six different eggs-cellent decorating techniques via a virtual class.

5.) Put a Modern Spin on Dyeing Eggs at Home

Dyeing Easter Eggs has never looked so chic. Try this marbleized method at home using nail polish instead of traditional dye. They’re fun to make, especially since no two will come out alike.
